ABOUT TRYGVE

Trygve Wakenshaw — pronounced Trig-vee — is a New Zealand-born physical-comedy performer, clown and actor based in Prague.

He studied at École Philippe Gaulier and developed a distinctive performance language combining mime, physical theatre, transformation and cheeky idiocy. His solo and collaborative shows have toured festivals and theatres internationally, frequently selling out and occasionally winning things.

His work includes Squidboy, Kraken, Nautilus, Trygve Versus a Baby, Different Party with Barnie Duncan, Monsterrr! with Toboso Theatre, Silly Little Things and the developing Hapalochlaena.

Alongside touring, Trygve appears in Pluto with Laterna Magika at the National Theatre in Prague. He teaches clown, develops new work and produces guest artists and physical-comedy projects through Rucks’s Leather Interiors International.
